Usage tips

A candle that lasts a long time is a candle that is maintained. Our candles, handmade and with natural products, impose a few rules of use in order to take full advantage of them and as long as possible. Here's how to take care of it:

BEFORE IGNITION

The wick should be 1.5 cm from the surface of the wax, if it seems longer, you can cut it. Too long a wick can lead to too high a flame, an uneven burn or black smoke.
The surface as well as the wax bath must always be clean, that is to say that there must be no pieces of matches, wicks or other elements that have fallen inside.
Your candle should be placed on a stable surface protected from heat.

DURING THE BURN

Never leave a candle unattended or near a flammable material and always put it out of reach of children and animals, even if it is extinguished. Place the candle away from drafts to avoid uneven burning of the wax.
Do not move your candle when burning.
Do not burn multiple candles next to each other.
In order for your candle to burn harmoniously until the end, let it burn until the surface of the wax is liquid. Otherwise, your candle could become hollow and no longer burn properly.
Do not let your candle burn for more than 2 hours.
If your wick tilts towards the pool of wax to the point of touching it, extinguish it, recenter it using pliers and, after cooling, cut off the end of the excess wick before relighting it.

EXTINCTION

It is best to extinguish it with a handkerchief (tool used to extinguish candles).

AFTER EXTINGUISHING

Do not move the candle until the wax has hardened.
Protect your candle from dust with a glass bell jar or lid (also helps preserve the fragrance).
